The first Open Championship took place at Prestwick in 1860. Willie Park Snr triumphed by 2 strokes over Old Tom Morris in an 8 man field. In the last 150 years The Open has continued to grow in stature and is regarded by the top professionals as golf's leading Major.

This 9 day tour includes all private transportation, hotels, green fees and a dinner hosted by a golf historian.

During this Signature Tour golfers stay in a range of comfortable boutique hotels which are ideal for avid golfers and within walking distance to a wide range of local restaurants and pubs located in the famous golf towns of North Berwick, St Andrews and Troon.

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL

• Meet & Greet with private airport transfer
• Check-in to The 4* Piersland House, Troon - The former home of the Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky family is a stunning country mansion house style hotel located only 300 yards from Royal Troon Golf Club.
• Three-course Welcome Dinner

DAY 2

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Golf at Royal Troon Old Course - Home to the legendary 123 Yard, Par 3 8th Hole - The Postage Stamp.

DAY 3

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Golf at Turnberry Ailsa Course - The most scenic Open Championship Course. Enhanced recently by golf course architects Mackenzie & Ebert.

DAY 4

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Golf at Prestwick Golf Club - Host to the first Open Championship in 1860.
• Private Transfer to North Berwick and check-in to The 3* Nether Abbey Hotel - Comfortable boutique family run hotel with major refurbishment in 2014. Excellent bar and lounge facilities.

DAY 5

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Golf at Muirfield Golf Club - 16 Time host to The Open Championship.
• Dinner at The Fly Half Restaurant hosted by a golf historian

DAY 6

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Play Musselburgh The Old Course - An original Open Championship venue hosting on six occasions between 1874 and 1889.
• Transfer to St Andrews and check-in to The 3* Ardgowan Hotel - Located in the heart of St Andrews, the perfect golfers hotel with modern rooms and Playfair's Steak Restaurant.

DAY 7

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Golf at The Old Course - The most iconic and famous golf course in the world. Hell Bunker, The Principals Nose, The Road Hole and Valley of Sin allow golfers to experience moments they will cherish for a lifetime. (Dependant on your dates of travel and budget we can arrange a Guaranteed Old Course Tee Time or enter your group into The Ballot.)

DAY 8 

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Play Carnoustie Championship Course - The toughest finish on The Open rota framed by the famous Barry Burn.

DAY 9

• Full Scottish Breakfast
• Private departure transfer

The 2019 Open Championship held at Royal Portrush was won by the hugely popular Irishman Shane Lowry. This was the first time since 1951 that The Open was held in Northern Ireland, and what an incredible show they put on!
