North Wales

The Top 3 courses in North Wales are strung out along the coastline, beginning with Conwy, host to the 2021 Curtis Cup. 50 miles further South is the dramatic Nefyn, often referred to as the Welsh ‘Pebble Beach‘ but it is more akin to Ireland’s ‘Old Head of Kinsale‘. Finally at Royal St David's which lies beneath the imposing presence of Harlech Castle you will find a championship links to rival any of Great Britian & Ireland's finest layouts.

Conwy is the base for our North Wales tour, a town just over 1 hour from Liverpool which has given its name to a river, a mountain, a magnificent castle with a complete ring of medieval town walls and championship links golf course that played a distinctive role in two World Wars.

Golfers will stay at the The Castle Hotel an old coaching inn, standing on the site of a Cistercian abbey within the UNESCO World Heritage walled town of Conwy.

This popular Hotel has 29 bedrooms, all to the AA and Visit Wales’ exacting 4 Star Town House standards, with a ’boutiquey’ feel. A recent addition is the very popular ‘Healing Hands’ treatment room.

The Castle Hotel is famous for its food and personal service. The food is sourced from the finest of Welsh products, accompanied by a great relaxing atmosphere throughout the day, from freshly cooked breakfast in the morning through classy atmosphere in the evening. Quench your thirst at the end of the day with a choice of hand-pulled beers and a comprehensive wine list with over a dozen available by the glass.
